As you probably know, these are typically excuses made by poor gamers when they want something to blame for not having the fun they thought they’d have. The equipment you choose to use is only a part of your overall experience gaming. Although the right equipment is important, real gamers know that gaming goes way beyond buying a left handed mouse. Following are a few hints for those who want to have a good time playing online games.
Give those left handed mouses a rest once in a while. Take a break from gaming sometime it can be refreshing. It is imperative to take good care of both the body and mind, this can be a complicated task if you are not taking intermittent breaks from your games to exercise and eat right. When you are sleep deprived or haven’t eaten in a long time, you aren’t going to play very well. Yup, that’s correct, the world of MMORPG’s is definately just as addicting as any drug on the market. Your friends will appreciate it when you do yourself and them a favor by taking regular breaks to be more social. Getting burned out is not nearly as beneficial as returning to the game fully refreshed.
Be a team player. MMORPG’s are very much alike any team sport. You need to be able to take directions from people more experienced than you.
The flip side of the coin is that you’ll soon enough be doing the same to beginners, and you must be able to do that and do it without an attitude. The concept of the team in sports, or other areas, is that the goal is for the team to win, and sometimes that necessitates making sacrifices for the good of the team. The unwillingness to do things like that will not put you in good stead with others. Try to keep the team’s best interest and enjoyment as your priority.
Don’t be afraid to ask for help. In the beginning, having to play with the keyboard shorts plus a new left-handed mouse can be a pain and awkward. If you can find one, ask someone else who is left-handed for any tips or pointers. Always ask for helpful tricks or hints from the people you play against. You’ll find that people love offering their “expert” advice and helping other people. If you become good, then the situation will be reversed and you will be called upon to help others.
The whole thing with online games is they’re supposed to be fun for everyone. It can be easy to get so wrapped-up in something that it becomes super-serious – not good for anyone.
More importantly, if you act like a brat, the other people in your game won’t have any fun either and nobody will want to play anymore. If you need a left-handed mouse, that’s cool and get one; but just keep everything in perspective. Get your left-handed mouse, if you need one, and have fun.
